It’s that time again!!!!!
When: March 7th—March 28th (28th will be final collection Sunday)
What: New underwear (boxers, briefs, panties, bras, tee-shirts) in all sizes (men’s, boys, women’s, and girls)
Who: You!! We need your contribution. Please take a moment next time you are at the store and pick up one or more packages of underwear for this ministry: some in your size and some several sizes larger. All sizes are needed, but XL– XXL are in particular demand.
Why: “…I needed clothes and you clothed me…” Matthew 25:36
Clothing donations very rarely include underwear, yet this is the item that wears out the fastest and is needed the most.
Recipients: Your contributions will go to organizations such as Haven House (teens), Raleigh Rescue Mission, Healing Place, City of Raleigh Public Housing, Wake County Alcohol Treatment Center, and Haiti, to name a few.
Thank you for your support
Collection bins will be in the narthex starting on Sunday, March 7th

We have another movie night planned for Thursday, November 5th at 6:30. The name of the movie is “Facing the Giants”. “Facing the Giants” is an action-packed, family-friendly drama about a high school football coach who draws up a new game plan for his team…and himself. It is a movie for ALL ages so we encourage everyone that is interested to come out. Admission is free and there will be candy, popcorn and drinks provided. Everyone that came out to our first movie night really had a great time and asked us to do this again. So please come join us for snacks, a movie and a whole lot of fun.
The Sojourners from Elizabeth City will be singing at our church on November 8. Woodie Kitchen, a member of our church when he was a boy, will be the bass singer. In 1971, Woodie was the “drummer boy” and played the drums for our Christmas program. He looks forward to praising God in Zebulon again. The Sojourners quartet sings southern gospel music and spreads God’s word wherever they travel. www.sojournersmusic.net
A Fellowship/Dessert Hour will be held in the Fellowship Hall at 5:00pm followed by the music in the Sanctuary at 6:00pm. Invite your friends, neighbors, and family.
A sign up sheet will be in the Narthex for those who plan to bring a dessert which can be cookies, cake, pie and pastries.
(A free-will love offering will be collected at the concert.)

The L.I.F.E. Study class, which meets in the Preschool Library will be discussing the book THE SHACK, and invite all who have read or want to read this book, to join us during the Sunday School hour. We will begin this study Sunday, September 13th. For questions or to respond, call Pat Tarbell 252-235-0111 or Judy Bailey 919-404-2446.”
“What would it be like to lose your youngest child to a serial killer? And then to have God invite you out for a conversation at the very shack where the terrible deed took place? And then imagine that the door to that shack of horrors opened . . . and before you knew it you had been swept up in the motherly embrace of a large African American woman? This most unlikely of stories, is told in William Youngs The Shack. We will discuss why God allows evil, how the atoning work of Christ offers new hope for a suffering world and ultimately how this hope extends to all of creation.
